“Beauty pageants and their winners are something that people always look forward to. But in today’s situation where beauty concepts and their existing flaws are a big topic of discussion, beauty pageants are often criticized. But actually who you find and how you carry your beauty is what today’s beauty pageants measure and therefore it is a great honour to be known as Miss Kerala 2023,” said the winner of the pageant, Liz Jarmon Jacob.
Liz was speaking in an exclusive interview for Red FM Malayalam.
Apart from Liz, Shambhavi K adjudged first runner. Second runner-up Nimmi Kay Paul also participated in the interview.
When Shyambhavi said that, such a victory was a desire from long ago. Nimmi, who is a mechanical engineer and a basketball player, said that she came to the competition completely unprepared.
Liz has faced a lot of bullying in the name of colour and body type since childhood. She also said that this victory is the answer to all of them. She also added that she was proud of herself and that she took the time to discover her own personality and its beauty without getting tired of criticism.
Apart from Miss Kerala, the contest also selected Miss Talented, Miss Voice, Miss Beautiful Hair, Miss Beautiful Eyes, Miss Congeniality, Miss Beautiful Smile, Miss Fitness, Miss Beautiful Skin and Miss Beautiful Skin.
24 young women from various backgrounds competed in the glittering event, which was held at Le Meridian Convention Centre Kochi.
